Sorry for the lack of activity! Real life has been busy lately and then I was having some horrible art and writing block. That is finally passing, thank goodness but I've kept forgetting about DevArt. If you guys want to see more up to date art and some small writings, I direct you to my tumblr account below (which began as a personal blog but Kingdom Hearts took it over lol, so it's mainly a fandom blog atm):

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I'm a terrible procrastinator. ^^;

But meanwhile, I thought I'd share a nice inspirational quote. (I need to take this to heart myself, haha; maybe it'd help with that procrastination habit.)

"It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things." -Leonardo da Vinci

I've managed to get myself into a Kingdom Hearts mood lately after having bought the 1.5 Remix. I hadn't played a KH game in about 7 years (couldn't keep up with all the different game systems they kept being released on) so it felt great revisiting the beginning all over again.

Finally played Chain of Memories for the first time! (well the remake, not the GBA one) About ten years later, haha, but oh well. :P The card system was a bit annoying at first until I got the hang of it. I'm a big fan of strategy and collecting, so I had quite a lot of fun forming decks for different bosses and gameplay styles. Also loved the character interaction with so many of the Organization's Oblivion crew having clashing personalities. Certainly some fun drama.

Now I just need to wait for the 2.5 Remix to come out and then I finally play Birth By Sleep and then tackle Dream Drop. I'm so behind. :D

Right, so I might end up doing some KH related fanart in the near future. I've been feeling so uninspired lately, so hopefully drawing something different will get me inspired.

Edit: added my results, for any curious peoples.

Just a fun, rather unique quiz I came across the other day. Takes 1-3 minutes to complete and is surprisingly insightful, matching your personality to an animal as well as listing potential careers.

I'm a snake.

:bulletgreen: General Reptile Qualities: artistic, creative, quick tempered, moody, quirky, unpredictable

:bulletgreen: Snake Specific Qualities: small to medium size, sensuous, inventive, meticulous, unemotional, nervous

:bulletgreen: Careers/Hobbies: writer, artist, psychoanalyst, food industry, philosophy, swimming, sculpture, debating, astrology

:bulletgreen: In-depth Description: Pity the cold-blooded snakes. Without arms, wings or flippers, they are forced to slink through life in a solitary quest for warmth and acceptance. Shy and insecure, they must keep a low profile to avoid the disapproving glances and teasing of others. Of course, their poisonous wit and quick tongues help to keep tormentors at bay.

As a child its small frame was no defense against the taunts of the playground bullies, so its sharply vicious attacks were adopted as means of protection. Snakes have no illusions about getting breaks in life and while they see doors opening for others, they have resigned themselves to staying in their lowly, entry level positions. So don't try and humor the snake, for it has reconciled itself to its subservient position.

With their intimate connection to the earth and their unique perspective on life, snakes have learned to express themselves through their art. Whether writers, moviemakers or painters, they are obsessively meticulous about their craft. Every now and then, one makes an impact on the art world and is thrust into the spotlight. But the snake recoils from the glare of publicity, and its behavior becomes even more erratic than usual. Woody Allen, the proverbial snake, comes to mind.

In winter, the cold-blooded snake is miserable. It just can't cope in the low temperature that seeps in through its thin skin, affecting its mood and sapping its energy. Prone to colds and flu, they are pathetic sights as they snivel and cough throughout the season. But when summer returns with its warmth and light, the snakes' moods brighten and their spirits soar.

Snakes are not fussy about their choice of jobs. As cold blooded personalities they perform best when given warmth and kindness and will accept almost any job, provided they feel secure. However, if they feel mistrusted, they live up to their reputation and return the disloyalty. Consequently, they are often relegated to menial jobs in the fast-food industry or as unskilled labor.

Holy crap! Apparently there's a Sly Cooper film in production. The art style will take some getting used to (so different seeing these cartoony characters portrayed realistically) but I'm pretty excited! :dance:
